Irish livestock feeding equipment manufacturer Keenan has recently joined those ranks. The company displayed one of its MechFiber line of feed processors at the Ag in Motion farm show near Saskatoon in July.

POULTRY WORLD: Alltech releases 2018 poultry feed data

International feed tonnage has increased by a strong 3% to 1.103 billion metric tons of feed produced in 2018, with over 450 million metric tons of layer and broiler feed.

This is according to data from the Alltech Global Feed Survey, released on Tuesday, 29 January. The 8th edition of the annual survey includes data from 144 countries and nearly 29,605 feed mills.

FEEDINFO: Alltech Global Feed Survey Reports Growth of 3% in 2018

Alltech's annual feed survey announced a 3% increase in feed production in 2018, according to Alltech's president Dr. Mark Lyons, who presented the numbers to the media in a webinar today. The survey is meant to represent 29,605 mills which produced an estimated 1.103 billion metric tons of feed in the most recent calendar year.
