The Alltech® Gut Health Management programme is essential to building a foundation for lifelong animal performance and producer profitability.
Our gut health technologies are backed by extensive research, including more than 730 trials. As antibiotic regulations tighten globally, we are positioned to provide field-proven solutions for the intestinal integrity and overall well-being of animals.
The Alltech Gut Health Management programme focuses on:
Mycotoxins have been shown to reduce feed intake, damage gut integrity and cause poor fertility and each of these issues can be a major cost to producers. Identifying and addressing these hidden challenges is very important and with the Alltech 37+® test, mycotoxins can’t remain hidden for long.
The Alltech 37+® mycotoxin analysis test is the cornerstone of our mycotoxin control program and between our labs in Lexington Kentucky and Dunboyne Ireland, we have analysed over 30,000 samples, each searching for over 50 mycotoxins in animal feed.
Alltech 37+® test results provide a realistic picture of feed contaminants in feed ingredients or TMRs to speed up the process of diagnosis, suggest effective remediation and help move toward an effective mycotoxin control plan.
The Alltech® Feed Efficiency programme supports your animals in achieving optimal health throughout their life cycle, addressing nutritional issues such as digestibility, diet flexibility, feed costs and overall performance.
With feed costs often accounting for up to 70 percent of production costs, it is important to make sure each bite of feed is digested efficiently.
The Alltech Feed Efficiency programme utilizes technologies that work in synergy with the animal’s own digestive system to provide additional protein, amino acids and minerals for digestion. Supporting the animal's digestive system can help maximize nutrient release, achieve consistent performance and reduce the overall costs of feed.
Your livestock depend on you. Performance depends on the right mineral. Do it right with the Alltech® Mineral Management programme for better absorption, less waste and optimum health.
Mineral management is more than just preventing deficiencies. Incorrect mineral supplementation can have major consequences on animal health and productivity. Traditional methods of supplementation have used inorganic minerals. However, inorganic minerals are poorly absorbed by the animal. This has caused a shift to organic mineral supplementation in many markets.
Break with tradition and feed your animals the modern way. Alltech® has proven that organic trace minerals in the form of Bioplex® and Sel-Plex® can be included at significantly lower levels while improving animal performance. This optimizes animal mineral requirements and reduces negative environmental impacts. We call this innovation Alltech’s Total Replacement Technology™ (TRT).
The Alltech Mineral Management programme guarantees organic minerals that are better absorbed, stored and utilized by the animal. This meets the higher nutrient needs of modern livestock for growth, reproductive performance and animal health.
Ever-present in the farm environment and a potential threat to the productivity of even the best-run livestock production operations, mycotoxin contamination should be on every feed producer and farmer’s radar.
Alltech has developed a global solution to help control mycotoxins through a combination of mycotoxin management programmes and technologies. Effective mycotoxin management is about seeing the whole challenge, from the farm to the feed mill and from risk assessment to feed management. The Alltech® Mycotoxin Management programme provides a number of solutions to help you mitigate the threat you could face from field or storage mycotoxins.

When you hear the word "audit," you might automatically think of revenue or taxation auditors, but did you know that Alltech runs farm audits to help improve the efficiency, profitability and sustainability of your farm?
We believe the key to unlocking greater profitability in a sustainable fashion is by increasing the efficiency of production. This is the driving principle behind the Alltech E=P+S program, in which efficiency equals profitability plus sustainability. Alltech can predict the probable outcome in economic value and also highlight the expected reduction in carbon emissions from the projected added efficiencies. The program helps to predict and monitor the benefits on-farm as well as clearly demonstrate the advantages through our unique “What if?” tool.
It’s simple, according to Kevin Dardis, global dairy marketing manager for Alltech.
“Farmers are looking to the opportunities that abound in dairy and beef production," he said. "Alltech is uniquely positioned to help resolve inefficiencies and boost profitability in a more sustainable way.”
How does Alltech's E=P+S program work?
Alltech’s E=P+S program is comprised of a number of components that, when taken together, provide farmers with a complete audit and recommendation package for any farm unit.
The first component is silage production and quality. This is combined with advice on feed formulation and mineral specifications. Then, our technicians audit the management of the herd using the Alltech program. We also carry out manure sieving to help identify the amount of undigested feed passing through the rumen in a wasteful manner.
Let us do the number crunching for you
Our technicians are fully trained in feed formulation using Plurimix, a dedicated formulations program. Plurimix models the existing diet and allows for a comparison of the potential benefits of alternative diets. All diets can be compared nutritionally, by cost and by carbon output of the herd’s diet. This information can then be transferred, along with the basic operating performance indicators of the farm, into the unique Alltech “What if?“ tool. Calculations indicate the degree of cost benefit from the resolved inefficiencies to the farmer with the added bonus of reduced herd carbon footprint, which is great news for the consumer, who is more concerned than ever with how their food is produced.
All of these components are brought together into a comprehensive recommendation for diet, mineral specification, alternative protein sources and, if required, mycotoxin control. Following implementation, the results and performance are regularly monitored by technicians to ensure that the predicted improvements are achieved or bettered.

Pearse Lyons Distillery at St. James
A rich family history, a personal passion for brewing and distilling, and an entrepreneurial spirit have led to the creation of one of Dublin’s new boutique Irish Whiskey experiences, Pearse Lyons Distillery at St. James.
Founded by Dr. Pearse and Mrs. Deirdre Lyons, the distillery is history in the remaking. Pearse Lyons hails from five generations of coopers, who supplied barrels to many of Dublin’s distilleries. He holds a Ph.D. in yeast fermentation and was the first Irishman to achieve a formal degree in brewing and distilling from the British School of Malting and Brewing. While at university, he interned at both the Guinness and Harp Lager breweries and later worked as a biochemist for Irish Distillers.
In keeping with the boutique nature of Pearse Lyons Distillery, tours are small in size so that visitors can enjoy a more personal experience. Tours are hosted by a team of friendly storyteller guides who intrigue visitors with the historic landmark's spellbinding tales dating back as far as the 12th century.
Alltech® Café Citadelle
Alltech® Café Citadelle is a "cup of hope" for Haiti. After the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Alltech founder Dr. Pearse Lyons aimed to create a sustainable enterprise there with a local gem: the country’s 100 percent mountain-grown, organic, Fair Trade Certified™ Arabica coffee.
We market and sell these coffee beans as Café Citadelle, and use them in brewing our Kentucky Boubon Barrel Stout®. All profits from sales of Café Citadelle go directly back to Haiti, where they are reinvested in two primary schools in northern Haiti.
Alltech Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co.
In 1999, when the former Lexington Brewing Company in downtown Lexington was closing its doors, Dr. Pearse Lyons purchased it and resurrected the brewing and distilling tradition of Lexington that dates back to 1794. Today, Alltech Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. is a producer of award-winning beers and spirits, including its flagship brew, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale®. It is also one of the few sites in the world to house both distilling and brewing operations. In 2012, the company became part of the famous Kentucky Bourbon Trail® experience when it opened Town Branch Distillery, which welcomes 45,000 visitors each year from across the globe.
