Alltech's Poultry School Series Highlights Advances in Poultry Nutrition Research

[4 July, Bengaluru] — Alltech, a global leader in animal health and nutrition, recently concluded a highly successful Poultry and Layer School series held across three different locations over the course of first week of July. The seminars, which took place in Namakkal, Panchkula, and Karnal, attracted nearly 400 audience from diverse group of poultry industry professionals, including farmers, nutritionists, and veterinarians.

The Alltech Poultry schools provided a comprehensive platform for participants to engage with Alltech's cutting-edge research and innovative solutions in poultry nutrition and health. Key topics covered included role of organic trace minerals for enhanced performance, advancements in feed efficiency, Pathway for healthy poultry farming and Maximizing poultry profitability through innovative solutions.

The interactive events were opened by Dr. Aman Sayed, Managing Director India and Regional Director South Asia, who talked about Alltech's global presence, acquisitions over the years, feed survey, and upcoming customer service laboratories. "Our goal is to support poultry producers in enhancing their operational efficiency and sustainability. Through these seminars, we aim to share the latest insights and technologies that can drive the industry forward.", quoted Dr Aman.

In order to increase poultry profitability, Dr. Lokesh Gupta, Technical Director – Poultry (South Asia), presented on Alltech solutions, focussing on enzyme, mycotoxin binder, and mineral treatments. He also explained on alternative raw material sources.

Dr. Jayaraman, renowned poultry consultant, gave a thorough talk on Pathways for healthy poultry farming emphasizing on signs, management, and prophylactic measures of poultry diseases. Low pathogenic influenza, variable strains (IB), the respiratory disease complex, variable ND (genotype 13), heat stress and its management, and the function of Cr and Se in immunity and shell strength were among the many topics he covered.

Alltech's Vice President of Corporate Accounts and Companion Animals, Steve Elliott, spoke about the importance of organic minerals in reducing stress and improving poultry performance. “Our continued research at Alltech aims to enhance the bioavailability and efficacy of minerals in poultry diets, ensuring that producers can achieve better results with more sustainable practices.” Said Elliott.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing appreciation for the valuable information and the opportunity to connect with industry leaders.
