Dr. Twig Marston earned his B.S. and M.S. in the Department of Animal Sciences and Industries at Kansas State University and Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition at Oklahoma State University.

Twig grew up on diversified farming and ranching near Canton, Kansas, and has been active in the beef industry as a lifelong learner, producer, professor, researcher, promoter and youth/adult leadership supporter. He has focused on production systems with emphasis on beef cattle nutrition, genetics, health and business management. Twig continues to cooperate and assist commercial and purebred cow/calf operations as well as growing/finishing cattle feeding units. He has held positions in beef production, academia, breed associations, Beef Improvement Federation and beef cattle feeding businesses.

Twig’s objectives are to: 1) assist producers meet their animal performance and production goals, 2) network, train and develop beef producers, and 3) to improve the efficiency of beef production and the demand for beef. Twig is a member of the Beef Technical Services team, covering Kansas and Nebraska.
