Lorie Hailey is director of communications at Alltech, where she guides a global team of communications professionals as they develop content and messaging that advances Alltech’s purpose of Working Together for a Planet of Plenty™. Hailey previously led Alltech’s copyediting team and managed the communications team’s editorial content strategy.

Before joining Alltech, she worked for 10 years as an editor and writer at The Lane Report, a Kentucky business news magazine. Prior to The Lane Report, she spent 16 years in community journalism, most recently as editor of the Richmond Register, a daily newspaper in Richmond, Kentucky. 

Hailey is passionate about storytelling and is dedicated to raising awareness of the role agriculture plays in nourishing the world and preserving the planet. In addition to several Alltech thought leadership projects, she leads communications for World Without Cows, a feature-length documentary that examines the cultural and economic significance of cows, their role in feeding the world and their impact on the environment. 

Hailey is a member of ACES: The Society for Editing, the Public Relations Society of America, and Meat Business Women, a global community for women working in the meat industry. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her family.
