Jill Peine earned her BS degree in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She then went on to earn her MS degree in ruminant nutrition from the University of Missouri.

Jill is a sixth-generation livestock producer. She was raised on a farm in south central Minnesota, where she remains actively involved in her family’s Boer goat operation, which is focused on raising and selling seed stock and show goat prospects. While completing her MS degree, Jill's research was focused on developmental/fetal programming in beef cattle; specifically, the impacts of maternal nutrition during gestation on the metabolic status of the cow and the impacts on the calf utilizing a forage-based system.

Jill is passionate about the animal agriculture industry and is motivated by working with others who share this passion. She enjoys providing technical assistance to dedicated farmers and ranchers who wish to strive for greater success with their livestock.
