Congratulations to Lesley Schmidt, winner of our second AgChat Agvocacy 2.0 Scholarship. She is part of a fifth generation farm that raises crops and cattle and has recently become involved with Kansas Agri-Women, an organization that works to tell the truth about agriculture.
Lesley and three other finalists submitted blog posts to Alltech explaining why they wanted to attend AgChat’s Agvocacy 2.0 Farmer Social Media Training. They used their social media skills to get out the vote and compete for a scholarship to cover their Agvocacy fees.
Agvocacy is advocacy for agriculture and the AgChat Foundation was started specifically to help farmers get started agvocating. They developed Agvocacy 2.0, which is an excellent program that has given a boost to some of the most active and effective agvocates our there. The training which is in its third year was held last week in Kansas City, Missouri.
Here are links to all of the finalists’ posts. They were all excellent so please take a little time to check them out and leave a comment.
